Most Australian wildlife rescue and care is done by hardworking volunteers.
Wildlife volunteers in WA are under stress due to the current bushfires and the extreme heat events impacting many animals across the state.
The Wildlife Heroes project will ensure wildlife volunteers get the help they need, so they can continue providing the best care for our amazing native wildlife.
The Wildlife Heroes project in WA will initially assist in funding for emergency response for bushfires and extreme heat events.
Guidelines will be available here for the WA Wildlife Heroes Emergency Fund soon.
Grants will be available throughout the project for wildlife rehabilitation facilities, registered groups and wildlife friendly vets, with all information regarding current and future grant rounds as it becomes available via our grants portal.
